Karvati red and green border

Karvati sarees are three shuttle weaves, similar to some other more illustrious and well-known weaves like the Gadwal and ilkals. But unlike other centers where two or three persons manage the weaving process here only one weaver manages all three shuttles and jala as well, they know the use of dobby and use it for the borders which is a warp pattern. They use JALA for the weft patterns and make butis by memory as they weave along.
