Handblock printing is one of the oldest methods of fabric surface ornamentation. Tarapur and Ummedpur are very small villages of MP which have been a center of block printing for over 700years. Indigo, Alizarin, kashish, and natural dyes are the bane of block printing in this region. the printers mainly catered to the tribal population in the past. in recent times they have evolved and started making beautiful sarees.
